FINNISH SAUNA

Immerse yourself in the timeless tradition of the Finnish sauna. The Kingburne sauna was meticulously designed and carefully crafted using Vancouver Island Cedar, Volcanic rock from Squamish and a dash of tried and true sauna specs. Our Sauna provides the ultimate sauna experience: Perfect steam (Loyly) and deep healing heat (lampomassa). We invite you to come experience what we feel is the perfect sweat.

Japanese-inspired garden with a wooden torii gate leads to a rustic cabin surrounded by gravel pathways, rocks, and lit landscape. Tall trees and wooden fences frame the serene, evening scene.
OUTDOOR SHOWER & BATHHOUSE

Reconnect with the pure essence of nature as you rinse off in our beautifully designed outdoor nature shower or tranquil bathhouse. Inspired by the Nordic tradition of embracing the elements, these spaces offer a refreshing and invigorating way to cleanse your body and soul.

Four people relax in a round wooden hot tub on a wooden deck, surrounded by warm lighting. Two men and two women are engaged in conversation, enjoying the serene atmosphere.
COLD PLUNGE

Experience the ultimate rejuvenation with our 10-person cold plunge, an essential part of the contrast therapy experience. Alternating between hot and cold temperatures enhances circulation, speeds up muscle recovery, and promotes deep relaxation. After a session in our sauna or thermal bath, the cold plunge provides the perfect counterbalance, stimulating the body’s natural healing processes.

Two people in robes sit on wooden chairs by a fire pit. They are holding hands, with a stone wall in the background and a plaid blanket draped over one chair. The warm glow of the fire creates a cozy atmosphere.
TIMBER LOUNGE

Step into our covered timber frame lounge, where the warmth of a crackling fire meets the soothing embrace of nature. This tranquil space is designed to provide the perfect place for relaxation, offering a peaceful retreat where you can unwind after a thermal ritual and enjoy the stillness of the surrounding environment.

OUR STORY

OUR FAMILY

Our family-run sanctuary, founded by Adam and Mellisa Magnuson, was created to provide the community with an authentic sauna and thermal ritual experience. Designed to help guests unplug, unwind, and reconnect with the elemental forces of Fire and Ice, the space offers a peaceful retreat from everyday life.

Over the past year, we’ve carefully built this sanctuary from the ground up, sourcing locally for both materials and craftsmanship. The cedar and stone used in the construction were handpicked from nearby quarries and forests, ensuring a lasting and sustainable experience.

At the heart of our sauna is Lamppa’s Kuuma stove, chosen for its exceptional performance and craftsmanship. This stove, perfectly suited for our space, reflects our commitment to authenticity and quality. The experience we’ve created can only be truly felt—it’s more than just a sauna; it’s a journey of relaxation and rejuvenation.

Perfect Ventilation, Steam, Heat, and Thermal Mass equals an exquisite sauna experience.
